Pandemic Update and How We’re Handling It

Happy New Year from everyone here at Bayshore Elite! It’s safe to say that 2020 was a doozy and most of us are glad it’s over. In putting that year behind us, it’s time to look ahead to what 2021 has in store. We have some exciting new ideas and projects coming your way this year. Navigating our way through the pandemic but also continuing to keep our kids safe has been a challenge nonetheless. But we always prioritize the safety of our children over anything else.

Moving into 2021, we’re still unfortunately dealing with the repercussions of the pandemic that turned the world upside down last year. But we are doing everything in our power to be prepared to reopen our preschool and recreational programs when the time comes. We are currently under a stay at home order that went into effect on Dec.17, 2020 which allows for exercise facilities to operate outdoors only. You can find the updated order for San Mateo County here.

Below you will find our official COVID-19 policy:

If an athlete tests positive, they must produce a negative test result prior to returning to Bayshore Elite Gymnastics. If athletes are unable to provide a negative test result, they must quarantine for a minimum of 20 days from the date of their first positive test. This result needs to be sent to all managers and owner, Erica Meitz. Coaches that have directly coached COVID-19 positive athletes within 7-10 days of their positive test must also produce a negative test to return to the gym. During this time, classes/workout will transition to Zoom at the same day and time; Your tuition will remain the same. We understand that each case may have a unique aspect to it, but communication to the owner and management team will be necessary for smooth transitions.

New in-gym policies have also been implemented to help keep all of our athletes safe:

♦   All mats are to be cleaned in between each group of athletes

♦   All athletes must use our hand washing stations before entering the gym.

♦   All athletes will be temperature checked before entering the gym

♦   Spectator and waiting areas will be closed

♦   Athletes will have separate entrance and exit doors

♦   All adult patrons must wear a mask when entering the gym

We thank you for your continued support while we navigate this time.
